Our glass urns for ashes are mouth-blown as a single piece, with the colour running right through the glass.

Full-size designs like the Rainbow urn hold 4 litres under a cast metal lid. Our glass memory pebbles, such as Summer Sky, are made by artisans in Somerset, fit in the palm of your hand and hold a little ash or a lock of hair.

Choosing a glass urn or memory pebble

Hand-blown full-size urns

Each urn is blown into a hollow, single piece of glass and finished with an ornate cast aluminium lid. The lid rests on the glass rim, and you can fix it with glue or silicone if you'd like it sealed.

The ashes sit inside in a silk bag. Choose from rainbow, light grey feather and the deep cobalt blue glass urn, each holding 4 litres, enough for most adults.

Glass memory pebbles

A memory pebble is made to be held, and it's small enough to carry in a bag or keep beside the bed. Each one is about 10cm long and takes 25ml of ashes through a stopper underneath, which you can glue shut once it's filled.

The black and 24ct gold memory pebble is one of four designs, alongside white and 24ct gold, summer sky and aqua brown. Each arrives in a grey velvet bag.

Displaying glass safely

Common questions about glass urns

What is a glass memory pebble?

It's a smooth, hand-blown glass pebble about 10cm long, with a small hollow inside for a token amount of ashes or a lock of hair. A stopper underneath keeps them in, and each pebble comes in a grey velvet bag.

Are hand-blown glass urns fragile?

Like any glass, it can break if it's dropped or knocked off a shelf. Keep it somewhere it won't be bumped, and lift it with two hands.

How much does a glass urn hold?

Each hand-blown urn holds 4 litres, which is enough for the ashes of most adults. A memory pebble holds 25ml.

Can I add a name to a glass urn?

Yes. The glass urns can sit on a plinth with a brass or silver plaque engraved with up to 75 characters, at no extra cost. Memory pebbles aren't engraved.
