What Size Urn Do I Need?

Understanding what size urn you require for your loved one can be difficult, so we have put together a guide to make choosing your urn more simple.

Urn Size Guide

To calculate the Urn size you require is, for every pound of body weight, allow one cubic inch of cremated remains. If you are measuring in Kilograms, the conversion is 1 Kilogram = 2.2 Pounds.

It is important to note that if the deceased was taller, you may need to add extra capacity and for stillborn/young babies you will also need to add slightly more for the capacity. Fat is burnt away during the cremation process, so will have less of a bearing on the final amount of ashes which you will need to also consider when choosing the right urn size.
